Hi! Thanks for being curious enough as to read this section of my blog. So, again, hi! I’m John Michael Capinpin Cabral. Yeah, I know, it’s quite a long name so you should just call me JM. I won’t mind. (I’m sorry, I’m not good at describing myself on writing. Let alone writing an introduction. This is getting a little awkward.) I’m a Thomasian, and a product of the College of Tourism and Hospitality Management, taking up BS Hotel and Restaurant Management. I’m a future restaurateur and an aspiring New York Times bestselling author.
I started reading books when I was a high school sophomore. And I am not ashamed to admit that what got me into reading was the Percy Jackson and the Olympians Series by Rick Riordan. I read those five books for one summer. Yeah, it took me quite some time to finish 5 books. And for some reason, I stopped reading afterwards. Come November 1st of the year 2013, I got hooked to reading again all thanks to my best friend, Camille, when she got me a copy of the 10th Anniversary edition of Boy Meets Boy by David Levithan. I read that book for a week, and after that, I started collecting books. Actually, ‘collecting’ might not sum up to my buying of books. Hoarding might be a more appropriate term. Haha!
And as of today, I am now a full grown book freak, buying books once a week, and going on monthly book hauls. I can’t even believe how many books I’ve bought since November last year. I have to admit, this is an expensive addiction, but hey! You take what life throws at you, right?
So there. That pretty much sums up my reading obsession. And this blog will definitely showcase every thought I have with regards to books, since I usually find myself struggling when expressing my thoughts towards other people regarding literature. This might help me.
So there you have it. Thank you for reading this part of my blog up to the end. (Hopefully, you did read it to the end.) Have a nice stay on my book blog! Cheers! 🙂
