The past weekend has been such a whirlwind of events. From having the time of my life at the Manila International Book Fair, to meeting the New York Times Bestselling Author, Morgan Matson, there’s definitely nothing I want more than to just write about my amazing experiences. Of course, what better way to cap off these events with recaps, right?
Life has been so crazy lately with all the things I have on my plate right now, and I think it’s about time I let everyone in on what’s in store for me, my blog, and the Philippine Reading and Book Blogging Community.
Yesterday, March 29, 2016, I had the most amazing experience of meeting Jennifer Niven in the flesh. Ever since I read All The Bright Places way back January 2015, I immediately wanted to meet Jennifer and ask her tons of questions about her book. Getting the opportunity of seeing this dream through made me so glad to have been alive. Words could not express just how much I enjoyed (and cried) during this event. And I am forever grateful to both Penguin Random House International, and National Book Store for bringing her to the Philippines.
So, last April 30, National Book Store together with Kate Evangelista, Filipina author of No Love Allowed, and other YA books, hosted a book launching event for Kate’s new YA book, No Love Allowed. This was the first bookish event I’ll be going to post-internship, and I was so, so excited to finally get back to both my social and bookish life, and that excitement made this experience all the more memorable.
So, once again, last Sunday, March 13, 2016, I attended another book signing event. Hosted by the amazing National Book Store, this event was for the fans of the New York Times Bestselling Author of the Throne of Glass and A Court of Thorns and Roses series, Sarah J. Maas!
If you’ve been reading some of my book tags from last year, you would probably know by now just how much I loved her books! (And no, I still haven’t finished reading Heir of Fire yet, so please don’t judge me. Haha!) She rapidly became one of my most favorite authors and getting to meet her as well as snag a photo was such a great privilege!
